Whilst I started regularly making in 2022, my passion for ceramics started back in 2015 when I was at university. I studied Social Anthropology and I based my ethnographic research at a then newly opened Turning Earth Hoxton. I interviewed members to understand the craft’s rise in popularity and why it was particularly gaining traction in urban environments.

After a few years of work post-graduation, I experienced a similar urge to the people I interviewed and wanted to reconnect to the earth. After a few throwing courses back at Turning Earth, I became obsessed with clay and it has since re-ignited my passion for this medium.

I enjoy making functional wares out of marbled clay on the potters’s wheel. I love the fluidity of the marble pattern and the clay’s autonomy and involvement in creating the final design.
